ACTIVITY

Diurnal
These are fish that appear close to the coasts from summer to autumn, although the larger specimens are found a little further away. They usually live in small schools and are very aggressive towards their prey. The tips of their fins are black, and their caudal fin is notably forked with pointed lobes, which is typical of fast swimmers.
They reproduce oviparously and lay their eggs in summer. They feed on small fish.
Interesting facts
Young specimens can be seen among bathers on the shore and at shallow depths.
