It is a fish that lives associated with coral reefs at depths of between 2 and 20 m. They feed on benthic organisms. They have a small white spot at the rear base of the second dorsal fin and sometimes of the anal fin.
Interesting facts
They can display three colour patterns: grey with brown spots, dark brown, or grey with a mesh of closed polygonal spots.
